Drapery Rod Brackets $10 pair

Bracket, ¼ x 20 x 5/8 black machine screw

¼ x 20 x ½ black machine screw

10-24 x ½ chrome machine screws

-nylon insert nuts to match

¼ x 20 Tap bit

Dremel or hacksaw, file

Metal drill bit

Cordless Drill

(Note: black screws accept the same size allen key as other photo hex’s)

Cut curved portion off using rotary tool from 1938 (or similar) and invert that section

Drill hole for chrome nuts and bolts (one was drilled but additional holes would increase travel)

Tap ¼ threads for black bolts in three places

5/8 in bolt attaches to speed ring (this particular ring has factory brass threads)

½ in bolt attaches cold shoe

Tapped threads for swivel holder at 90 bend is in location of existing hole and was used for additional strength

With flash and 30 x 40 softbox

Note: that there is additional room available for another flash (modification to speedring required)
